Once you are outside the bastion again, it is all about destroying everything around you for the in-game currency, which allows you to upgrade your existing weapons and it is important to get as many as possible. The distillery is more your foe than your friend though as the variety can make you doubt which is the best one, I loved that it added an extra difficulty to this beautiful game. The distillery lets you distill new potions which will allow you some passive skills ranging from getting a more potent kill when your health is low or increased critical hit chance. I call this the downside of being a reviewer, always getting used to different layouts and this is just how I love it, my thanks to the developers for this small but underrated feature. The Arsenal lets you pick which weapon is mapped to which button, which is a godsend because I like my weapons to be in a certain layout when I get the choice. While in the Bastion, your base, you can build an arsenal and a distillery at first, but those open spaces are a clear hint of more to come. Shortly after, the Breaker’s bow, the hand grenade, … will be added. At first, you get the Cael Hammer, swinging it around is fun and upgrading it along the way makes it even more potent. The variety is right there for such a small game, I did finish it in around 7 hours. The game just looks incredibly beautiful and the way it is built up every time, it is amazing, it adds to the impressive nature of the game.Īs you go deeper down this adventurous world, you find more weapons and more items. His adventures lead him through a world that builds as you walk upon it. He sets off on his quest to find out what happened and why it did.
